I had a chat with an absolute superstar the other day, we were talking about lots of different things and the got onto the topic of work and how we would describe it if we only could use 1 word.
The usual suspects popped into my head - successful, fun, challenging but just as quick as those thoughts popped in my head I blurted out “GROWTH”
They asked “why” and I felt myself kick into auto pilot - I explained what my initial thoughts were but landed on growth as all of those other words contributed to growth.
And then something cool happened, I felt joyful, as growth wasn’t just mine - the teams I have led, the businesses I have run all have grown - growth creates so many different types opportunity.
The superstar noticed I was in my own head and told me “I’m bored now, can we go?”
That super star was my 8yr old son - watch out world
