Hear me out, I think my washing machine can control time

I was waiting for a load to finish (gotta love work from home) and the timer said 3 minutes left. I thought to myself, “I’ll just wait here.”

It counted down to 1 and then just sat there. A few minutes went by, but the timer still said 1 minute left, making me question the very fabric of reality, time and space. And that’s when it hit me - how often do we find ourselves waiting on things we can’t control, letting them drain our time and energy?

Whether it’s a washing machine timer or an unpredictable situation at work, focusing on things beyond our control can leave us feeling stuck.

Instead, we should focus on what we can control - our actions, our responses and our mindset. By shifting our focus, we can regain control of our time and make meaningful progress, even when the world seems to be standing still.

What’s one thing you’re going to focus on today that’s within your control?
